It's OK price for FTF. Shipped implies you would need to pay FFL transfer fees, with those in mind the deal might be kinda cold. It's a fair price, you are not getting a spectacular deal, depends if you want to help him out.

I love my .45 M&P. Even my wife enjoys shooting it.

I'd shoot it first and then decide from there.

The M&P 45 for me is one of the most ergonomic and comfortable guns I have ever shot. It is as accurate as any of the 15 or so 45's I have shot in the last 2 months. It is very reliable, and S&W has the best customer service in the business. I comes with a stated 1-year warranty, but in reality, the warranty is lifetime (like all other S&W guns).

It is one of the best values on the market (cost vs. how much gun you are getting).

They are around $600 + tax in CA. $500 is a fair price, but not a great price.

Here is a good read about the M&P 45 from a Pro...

                Good luck with your decision

They were around $639-649 plus tax about 4 months ago, now they are $739-759 NIB, at least in the few places I have seen them in stock(this coincided with the price increase on S&W's website about 3 months ago).

Also, that model is a .45m(midlength) which has the round round capacifty of the fullsize, but with a 4"(as opposed to the 4.5" barrel for the fullsize) barrel, which I believe is no longer available(but I'm not sure, I just have seen any new ones for close to a year)

                    S&W M&P45s rock. Get one.

100rds thru it = 'essentially new', orig owner did the courtesy of breaking it in for you.

I prefer the variant with the manual safety - can't tell from the dim pic which one this is.

                      It's a mid-size with thumb safety

Yes, it is, and it's not on the DOJ list.

I gotta say that I love the M&P 45. Great ergonomics, reliable and overall smooth shooter. The trigger could be a little smoother, but the more you shoot it, the better it'll get.

Don't worry too much about the price point...It is absolutely acceptable for this gun. If it fits you well & you can afford it...GET IT
