Low profile magwell for Glock 17 Gen3?

I recently purchased a Gen3 Glock 17 and wondering if anyone has found a low profile magwell that works with Glock 10-round magazines?

It's too bad the Magpul magwell is reported not to work with Glock 10-round mags. It looks great and is way less expensive than many of the other aftermarket maxwells out there. Unfortunately it's apparently not compatible with Glock 10-round magazines. I've read that it may be due to the floor plate on the older mags. Other say the dimensions of the mag itself (not the floor plate) is different with the 10-round mags. If it is the floor plate, has anyone tried putting a floor plate off a Gen5 magazine onto an older Glock mag to see if that worked?

What is the problem with Glock 10 round mags other than they are sprung so tight that most people cant get the 10th round in without a tool and then you cant get that round to compress enough by hand to seat the mag when putting into a gun with its slide in battery?

SLR's website says its G17gen3 magwell work with 10-round mags.
I no longer have a G17Gen3 but my G23Gen3 version works fine with all appropriate Glock mags.
I also had the Magpul magwell previously for my G23gen3 and it was too tight for my liking even with standard 13-round mags. I tried sanding and filing on the Magpul magwell without success. I ended up giving that Magpul magwell away and bought a few SLR-brand magwells after that for various Glocks.

I am not a fan of mag wells, except on competition guns using a + (extended) floor plate. It is my experience when not using an extended floor plate, the magazine will not seat completely, unless it is pushed in using ones fingers. It cannot be seated by pushing it home with a flat palm.

        No advantage and significant disadvantage.

i can confirm that the magpul magwell does NOT work with factory glock 10 round magazines. it doesn't seat properly. the baseplate is different from the standard capacity magazines. (occasionally you can get it to seat but you're going to slam that magazine in there with some considerable amount of force, which is more than what's needed).

the magpul ones is probably the cheapest one you'll find of decent quality. If you want a baseplate/magwell combo, juggernaut actually makes a decent one with a nice magwell thats low profile and it includes 2 baseplates which you can get in standard or extended....it doesn't increase capacity though but i have found the extended baseplate to aid in grabbing the magazine to rip out in case it doesn't drop freely... and i like having that little extra space between my palm and bottom of the gun when i go to insert a magazine as to me it it feels more a solid seat. (that's just me though).

i also like this combo because most other magwells on the market that i've looked at it nearly ~$100 alone. The juggernaut will give you 2 base plates along with your magwell for around the same price...

Most "carry" magwells should work with stock glock mags. I don't know if they work with 10 round aftermarket mag baseplates.

I've tried L2D, KE Arms, and Taran Tactical "carry" magwells and didn't encounter a problem. But I only tried them with standard capacity stock glock mags.

I have magpul magwells on my G34 and G35 and can 100% confirm they work with 10 round mags.

From what manufacturer? I know the Magpul Glock mags will work with the Magpul magwell but most of the time wont work with OEM Glock 10 round rags. Magpul even mentions this in the description for their magwell.

I have an Agency Arms magwell on both my G19G4 and G17G3. They both have no problems with: factory Glock 10 rounders, ETS 10 rounders, ETS 10 rounders with a +0 TTI extension (on the 17), Magpul 10 rounders (on the 17), and ETS 10 Rounders with a Vickers base plate (on the 19). I don't have any mags that haven't worked - beyond the super tight spring that needs mashing into the magwell to seat (the Glock mag is worse for this than the ETS ones).

Sold out and doesn't look like they are continuing to make that one, given it was on clearance. Looked like it would do the trick, though.

Not looking to spend $100+ for a magwell!

Just wanted to set up a nice gun for Front Sight, but think I can probably do just fine without a magwell if it means spending that much for one. I mean, I've run a 1911 and a Beretta M9/92 in their classes and neither of them have maxwells installed and I did just fine.

Just liked the design gf the Magpul because it was pretty cheap and low profile and didn't look ridiculous like a lot of the magwells peopel use for competitions.

I think I'm just going to not bother with a magwell. Seems like the Magpul magwell is more hassle than it's worth since it's finicky with a lot of mags and in reality it's not that big of a deal to run the gun without one.

Low pro magwells are a waste of time on glocks. They aren't big enough to actually enhance the room for error. Do a big one like the ALG or don't do one at all. Or even better, just dry practice reloads until you can't miss.
