Remilling a milled slide

Is it possible to remill it for a rmr?

The vendor who originally milled your slide would be in the best position to answer that question. Why not ask that person?

I doubt it, you'll probably need to have a spacer made. The two footprints are similar but just different enough to not make it work.

The Venom is a bit longer, you would have to compare the mounting screw pattern, to determine if there is room to re-tap the slide. Any locating pins would would probably needed to be milled.

I guess I would ask why change at this point. What do you dislike about the Venom, that the RMR does better? At the end of the day, is it worth spending the cost of a new gun for the RMR and machine work.

I think an adapter plate would raise the optic too much. So I wouldn't take that approach. You might not have many aftermarket slide choices for the CZ. There are a lot of after market slides for Glocks.

I have seen one aftermarket slide that is pre drilled for multiple optics. If you have the time and money, that might be a way to try multiple optics with buying a bunch of slides or hand guns.

I have been happy with my Venom, no reliability issues. I like having the battery on top, where it's easy to replace. But it all comes down to your requirements, and does a change make sense.

I would contact CZ Customs and ask if you can have your slide converted to their RDS plate system. They would probably need to see your slide to say for sure.

I think the only CZ's that are OR, are the P10's and Shadows. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask, but it's unlikely that they would take on a different model cut for a Venom. Here is a link to a company that makes CZ adaptor plates. Maybe they could make one for your setup.

CZCustoms is not CZ, they are a custom shop. They offer a red dot plate system that lets you mount a dozen different dots on one slide using various adapters.
