    FNP .45?

I love the idea of the FNP .45 and it's 100% ambi controls, but I noticed it's not on the CA approved list of handguns, despite its 9mm and .40SW cousins being there.

Other than nerfing and buying from a LEO, is there any way of getting my grubby little hands on one?

If you have grubby little hands, this gun will disappoint you. It is huge. Way bigger than an HK USP 45 or old-style G21, or any other monster gun.

      Figure of speech

I've got ridiculously overproportioned paws, actually. Part of the reason why the FNP45 is so interesting to me. So does anyone have any information on one?

The FNP-9 and FNP-40 are on the approved list because they were submitted before the magazine disconnect requirement became mandatory.

Since, the FNP-45 does not have a magazine disconnect, it is unlikely that it will get on the approved list.

Look for private sales if you want one.
There was one for sale last year, so they do turn up.
At least factory 10 round magazines are available for the FNP-45.

Turbofall- Where are you located? I'd be willing to meet at a range to let you test fire mine, shoot me a PM. I like mine a lot, controls are easy and smooth, recoil isn't bad, and it looks great. Extremely rough checkering on the grip that takes some getting used to. I'd pick it over my USP 45.

hmm id say the grips are thinner then the G21 and the USP. I own one and its great shooter! put 5 rounds of .45acp wolf ammo in one ragged hole at 7 yards...i was sold on the gun!

I shot better with the FNP45 the very first time I picked one up than I do with my favorite 1911. The ergonomics are perfect for me.
