The OP's photo appears to be a Colt "Combat Elite". I don't know all the iterations, but the first version had a solid, black-colored trigger; with a spur-type hammer (not a Commander-type hammer). I also don't remember if the 1st version had serrations on the front of the trigger-guard as the photo in the OP has. That 1st version is one I wish I'd kept. I sold it to a Community Service Officer who was going to give it to his Las Vegas Metro Officer daughter.
There may also be serrations on the front-strap underneath the Pachmayr wraparound grip. I just remembered, my 1st version (bought in '88) also had the barrel bushing with the fingers (collet style). As a "Boomer" I carried one off-duty just a bit but my main work guns were either a S&W 4006 or a Glock 22 (2nd gen) back then.
