It's called the fcu or fire control unit which is actually considered the gun. Only way you can get it in California is through a ppt.

I am not clear what you call metal insert module. Can you post pic of it? Sound like FCU frame. Does it have serial number somewhere? If you have serialized FCU frame, you will just need part kit to finish FCU assembly, if it is unfinished (AKA 80%), you need to consult with law what should you do.

P250 is predecessor to P320. You're on the right track.

I can make that into a rifle receiver with enough money.

It sounds like he has a stripped FCU. Here are some of the parts for it, but many not there either
Parts listed here are designed for Sig Sauer P250 pistol models chambered in 9mm, .357 SIG, .45 ACP, .22 LR, .380 Auto or other calibers unless noted otherwise. MGW carries replacement barrels, magazines, grip modules, sights, pins, springs and other small parts for this handgun. Service your Sig P250 pistol with quality OEM and aftermarket parts/components to ensure a solid performance from every pull of the trigger.

Numrich looks to have some more of them but still not all
Sig Sauer Model P250 Semi-Auto Pistol Gun Parts & Accessories (Sigarms). Shop current, OEM, obsolete and the rare hard-to-find gun parts and accessories for pistols, rifles, shotguns, long guns, and revolvers from the early musket days to today’s modern firearms (both U.S. and foreign). Numrich Gun Parts Corp. is the Trusted source for all vintage and current parts.

Looks like they have everything but hammer and safety lever. You may have a hard time finding those two parts. I checked the usual sources and came up empty.

Have you considered converting this to a P320 FCU? It can be done, check this thread https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...php?p=22975366

You can convert the P250 to a p320 relatively easily like SkyHawk said. That would give you ongoing opportunity to upgrade and find parts more easily. Especially since the military adopted the platform.

From what I understand the FCU iIS the gun, yes, but it is essentially a metal insert with the trigger components in it....sort of like a drop in AR trigger unit... however as 80% you get the metal insert, but no trigger components to go into it... so its not quite a complete FCU yet.

Yes it has a serial on it. But I have the serialized portion without the "guts".

I'm looking for those parts that go inside it.

Yes I might have to convert to 320 if I cannot find the operating components for the fcu frame. I am still looking though.
