Build a full-size single stack 10mm/45 based loosely on the G37. I saw the Gen5 G22 will have a slightly beefier slide. Could a combo of this and a grip with more room fore/aft to accommodate the 10mm work? It would open the door for 10mm in a less brick-ish gun. 10+1 10mm the same size as a G22 would be neat....

...continue to build quality guns that work (they do) and never make the partly-unsupported-chamber mistake ever again. That includes building the Glock 21, which I find to be a very good ergonomic fit.
Glock should not build a 1911. That's not their thing, and we have plenty of other companies who do already."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

That's what happens when you get the design right the first time. :-)
Seriously, Glock keeps making the same gun for the same reason the 1911 remains in production. They're both good, solid designs that people clearly want to buy. Gaston's design is good enough that nearly all the other major pistol makers started copying it after the patents expired, and they still copy it today.
So, "confidence? Definitely. "Arrogance"? Yeah, maybe. Justified? Yep, apparently so."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

Am I the only one that doesn’t like Glock? Let me correct that... no that was right, I don’t like Glock.
I had a Glock 36, and while I know it’s an oddball .45 Subcompact, I shoot my friend’s 3 other Glocks, and while I can’t tell you what they are because they don’t interest me; I can tell you they don’t interest me, so I can’t tell you what they are...
I get it, they’ll eat rounds under any condition and they’re super dependable... but aren’t a lot of guns that way?
With that said I am an HK fanboy so I guess I can understand the (seemingly) blind following. The main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing.

From a business standpoint, they were the kings of a market segment they didn’t create, but became the sole leader in.
Their arrogance to think that they knew what the customer wanted best, rather than give customers what they were asking for, has caused them a significant loss of market share.
They basically gave market share to competitors, while they had their nose in the air.
I don’t see their attitude changing anytime soon, so I wouldn’t expect anything new out of them.
