    P226

My friends uncle is selling a 1991 Sig P226. It is in great shape about 90%. I know that market values are high. What do you think is a decent price for that this gun. Any advice will help.

    Thanks

$600-900. There’s always been a following of West German built SIGs among the aficionados.

Yes, it is German made, with no rail. I was thinking 950ish, give or take $50.00. I just didn't want to be to off.

For SIG fans, there is a difference between "West German" made SIGs and "German" made SIGs.
^The West German made SIGs are more desireable.

                How much more desirable?

And don't forget the crazy times we are living in when a run-of-the-mill Beretta went for $1800 the other day. I say list it at $1100 or 1200 obo. and see what happens.

The Germans make the best handguns in the world. If you can acquire it at a fair price, that would be a very good investment. Just don't over pay.

No box, or any original stuff. I will say the bore is great, and easily over 90% of the finish is still there. That is what I was thinking. I figured 1K, could easily be sold to as there are Sig fanatics.

In the olden days most guys just thru the West German Made pistol boxes away because the boxes often
contained Apple Strudel crumbs. The H&K shipping & receiving area must have been to close to the break room.
