I would remove the pistols slide and closely inspect the FPB Lifter Spring. Make sure it is positioned correctly and not binding things up. The FPB Lifter Arm should be spring loaded so that the Lifter Arm rotates down towards the Sear Cage.

Due to the small diameter of the FPB Lifter Spring wire, they have a tendency to get damaged during installation. I have destroyed many in my days, this is why i keep a bag full them them handy.

If this is the case, i would take a probe or pick and push the Sear to the Left to see if it can relieve the binding that you describe. It is also possible that some form of grit has made its way into the parts. Disassembling and resembling the Sear Cage may be worth while. If you do this make sure the parts inside the Sear cage are moving smoothly before installing the Sear Cage back into the pistols frame.

Is this a Cajun gun works race hammer and adjustable seat?
Maybe it has the wrong kit installed.
I think the kits differ for non FPB guns.
Go to CGW website or czcustom to confirm.

The sear cage works great when it’s not installed in the gun. Everything moves smoothly.

Once installed there appears to be too much tension on the lifter for the trigger bar to move it. I’m not sure exactly what would be causing that

Maybe it’s possible the trigger bar isn’t being lifted enough and is going underneath the lifter instead of in front of it?

It sounds like the Trigger Bar may be sitting too low or the Trigger Bar Spring is not positioned correctly.

Check the Trigger Bar Spring setting and position. The two legs of the Trigger Bar Spring should be located in the grooves on the underside of the Trigger Bar and applying and upward force on the Trigger Bar. Also check that the Magazine Release Spring Screw is in tight. It is the large flat head scerw inside the frame. This scerw holds the Trigger Bar Spring in place, if it is loose the Trigger Bar Spring can loose tension.

Ok after more inspection the trigger bar is going underneath the lifter but doesn’t appear to be a trigger bar spring issue since when the sear cage is out it goes up to the safety hole..

Something in the sear cage is pushing the trigger bar down. And getting it caught underneath the lifter . Maybe the lifter can be adjusted somehow?

Adjusting the FPB Lifter arm is not an option as far as i am aware.

Is the FPB Lifter Arm still binding up when the Sear Cage is installed? What other parts have you installed if any?

If you manually push the Trigger Bar Down dose the FPB Lifter arm move freely?

The Trigger Bar normally moves downward a bit when it slides under the Sear Cage, this is part of how the Double Action works.

I converted it to a SAO trigger, competition hammer, adjustable sear, and ambient safety.

The trigger bar goes about 1mm past the lifter arm underneath. I’m able to move the Lifter manually but you see the trigger bar move and click when it breaks free from the lifter arm.

I’m tempted to just remove the fpb

I am failing to understand your description, might be me. I suggest calling Cajun Gun Works directly, before you decide to remove anything. It is highly likely that there is a straight forward fix for the issue that you are having.

If you remove the fpb you will need a sear spacer.
