I have a Kimber Custom II I got earlier this year and I am considering getting rid of it(wants a glock). Im not quite sure what I should ask for it though. Where should I look to see what these are going for? Is a gun shop good to go to or would they just lowball me to buy for themselves? I can provide some more details if someone wants to take a stab at it. Thanks for the help.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. You're better off selling it yourself in order to max out your profit. Check out gunbroker.com and see what other Kimber Custom II's are going for. That will give you a good idea of what to ask for. I have never sold a gun through a gun store so I don't know exactly how they work. I would imagine they charge a commission or something like a commission so that they could make a buck or two. Nothing wrong with that. It might be the way to go if you want to sell it faster.

I recently bought a brand new Kimber Custom II for $645 at my local shop. After tax and DROS it was about $725.

I'd expect to get up to $600 for it, depending on condition.
