    Px4 Storm, Thoughts?

Has anyone shot one of these? I'm considering picking one up in 9mm...

    Basically, M&P9 vs Px4 Storm.

    Thanks for your thoughts

IMO M&P9 I had the PX4 when it first came out and couldnt hit a damn thing its really loose too and the springs make noises. Ask any gun dealer M&P by far. A M&P 9mm is great full size or compact and Smith and Wesson always gives you a coupon for $50 or 2 mags go with the mags cause they are $35 each ...unless u need the cash in these tough times. M&P all the way even CHP carry them but in M&P .40. I went all out on the full size .45
Don't forget you can get it too....FOR A PRICE!!

      I shot the XD, Px4 & M&P.

I didn't hate any of them. The Px4 was BIG and not nearly as comfortable as the other two (for me). The XD was OK, but I seemed to be more accurate and more comfortable with M&P. So that's where I spent my money.

I now have 3 of them.

I have the PX4 in .40 and I think it's great! I've shot over 4,000 rounds through mine and never had any problems that I would attribute to the gun. It's ergonomics was one of the main features that drew me to the gun. Everything is with in easy reach with one hand and it's recoil wasn't harsh. Only thing I wish I had done different is that I wish I got the model G (de-cocking only) instead of the model F (de-cocking and safety). I hope to get one someday in the .45.

i have a px4 in 40. i love it, i use it over my g17 for my HD gun. it has adjustable backstraps so u can find the one that fits good with your hand, and they are a great looking gun. ive shot around 6-700 rounds through mine, no issues. i almost bought an m&p 9mm but got the g17 instead because it preferred the feel. just go hold them and see what you think

used to have a PX4 Storm in .40, all in all it was a good gun, but the mags rust easily and the backstraps are a pain to change. The gun was tight and accurate, I didn't like the narrow sights and I'm definitely not a fan of the reverse safety. Had an XD-40 also for a while and didn't dig it too much and I now have a M&P-40.

Go with the M&P, it's more comfortable in the hand, points better, lower bore axis, cheaper than the PX4 and comes with a life time warranty.

And did I mention the PX4 mags rusts easily?

I finally shot my new PX4 for the first time today, aside from me limp wristing on purpose, I don't really have any complaints although I only put 100 rounds through it so it's not as thorough and eval as guys who've shot much more. An M&P9 was a contender when I was making my selection but I didn't really like it that much.

Once I changed to a smaller backstrap, the PX4 feels perfect in my hand. And I agree with Neo, they are a bit of a pain to change, as the bandage on my finger can attest.

My PX4 has been flawless. Fits my hand better than anything else I've tried, accurate, easy to clean, and something slightly unique.

IMO px4 storm all the way. I have the storm in 9mm and .40. Both are great. The recoil is great the triger on the storm is a work if art. Over all I give the storm a 10 / 10. With over 8,000 rounds in mine with a flawless record I use it as my primary carry gun. I would and do trust it with my life.

I have had no problems with mine. It is my night stand gun.
                        Wife likes it.
I have always liked a double action with safety for HD.
                        And I own a Glock, XD, 1911, S&W 66.
