Not only do I buy myself a gun for my birthday but I also buy me a gun for my wifes birthday also.

Yep. I bought my first rimfire rifle on my 18th, my first shotgun on my 19th, my first centerfire rifle on my 20th, my first handgun on my 21st. After that, I bought them when I could.

Why wait for a birthday ?

Then I got to thinking that I shouldn't limit myself to 'guns' being the only 'special' thing I picked up for my birthday.

Then I got to thinking, why only do something 'special' for yourself once a year?

Then it started getting expensive.

So, now, when I find something and the money is there, well... We all know what Mom used to say...

Every year, of course! I bought my birthday gun early this year in March - which worked out perfect because I would have been SOL had I waited until July to get my Glock 20sf

I like to, but not willing to put up with the recent bullsheit at gun shops. Got enough for a few life times.

I've always used birthdays or holidays as a good excuse to buy a new firearm or accessories. No better way to spoil yourself then with something you really want. I've also PPT'd a firearm arm to a relative that wanted a firearm I've had for years but never really shot that much so it went to a good home.

I tell my wife..this isn't for me. It's to protect US!!
Sometimes it goes over ok..other times about as good as a fart in church.

Why wait for your birthday??? I try to treat myself as often as I can with those special gifts that say that I know how much I deserve them.

But this year I did get myself a couple of early b-day presents, a very nice milled Chinese AK47 and one of the new Glock P80 recreations of the gen1 G17.
