I have also run into issues with the factory 10 round CZ mags. The first thing that i would do is take them apart and clean them. There can be allot of factory gunk inside the mag tubes. Polishing the feed ramp and inspecting the extractor for gunk, burrs or anything els that looks odd may also be worth while.

The Mec Gar after market 10 round mags are an improvement over the factory ones.

    Gratz on the new CZ.

I had an issue with a Rami mag. I had FTF's with the one mag and no issues with the other mag. Thought it was the Rami (due to forum feedback with similar issues) and sent it in for warranty work where they polished the feed ramp among other things. Only to get it back and have the same issue, but not as often. Figured out it was the one mag and the follower didn't sit right compared to the working mag. Contacted CZ and asked for a new mag. They sent me one for a P-01 (which works for the Rami, but not the same one as the defective). Start with the easy stuff.

      Congrats on the new CZ!

Why are you afraid? If it’s a concern just don’t load more than 10-rounds.

Make sure the throat is not too short... very common issue on the CZ pistols.

My 10-round CZ mags do the same. No problems with my freedom week mags or Mecgars.

I had to send mine in for warranty because I was having FTF every 3 or 4 rounds. I have yet to measure it.

This is a good point. It is a good idea to remove the barrel and plunk test the ammo that you plan on shooing OP.

Thanks for the heads up, passed on P-01 recently though it was very tempting to pick one up at retail price.
Are these very recent production by any chance? QC issues perhaps? In any case, shame on CZ for releasing them to the market. Imagine 1st time buyer getting this as first gun for SD..
CZ might as well release statement saying "our 10rd mags suck it's above our ability to make them reliable so use at your own risk or go aftermarket"

I've read CZs may have some issues with Aguila ammo? like above mentioned possibly short throat. I did have a few FTFeed with this combo, however only when I used the 10rnd mags. Also those 10rnd mags made the ejection very Glock19-like, erratic.

Worked great with the 14, 16, 18 rnd standard mags.

No QC issues that I know of. I have three CZ's. Out of the three I have only had issues with the one Rami mag. Otherwise, I have had no other issues with any of the stock 10 round magazines. All three CZ's have been reliable. I have had zero failures on my SP01 or P01 with up to 2k rounds on each.

My Wife ran the Rami at Front Sight and only started to experience failures towards the end of the 2 day class, upwards of 150-160 rounds. So chalk that up to a dirty gun in the desert, or even a worn recoil spring. CZ forum mentions Rami recoil springs should be replaced after 500 rounds. And this is the approximate round count I have on this pistol now. I would also like to point out that in a HD or SD situation, I doubt I would fire off more than 10-20 rounds before I can even get up to 150 where the failures start occuring. I don't even have enough loaded magazines at home to hit that number.

For the P01, you are GTG. I have not had to change anything in that gun. I even subjected it to a 1,000 round "torture test" without cleaning it, wiping it off, re-oiling, and using mixed ammo, with zero failures.

I have two CZs, tons of mags, no single issue.

I have a Shadow 2 with CA compliant mags and so far no failure of any kind. It actually fed and locked slide back on my 130 Power Factor 122 grain hardcast with 3.8 grns of Titegroup. I have Mec-Gar 10 round mags.
