So a while ago I purchased a Shield 2.0 9mm from a fellow Calgunner. The gun spent some time unattended on my boat and the slide and barrel suffered some damage from corrosion.
Last night I bought a Ported and optic-ready 4" Performance Center stripped slide on ebay.
I can't find a 4" barrel anywhere. Is the barrel the same as the m&p compact 2.0? Anyone know a source? Can I get one from Smith?
Has anyone else converted a standard Shield to the 4"?
I assume I need a longer guide spring but I'm guessing the other components will swap over.
Pet project here on a gun I really don't carry/shoot often.
