    Glock guys, is this possible?

I'd like to have a gen 5 trigger pull in my gen 3 glocks. Is there an aftermarket brand or some modification to give my gen 3 that gen 5 "rolling break"?

Here's the backstory: I have a handful of stock gen 3 glocks that I am very happy with. I have been shooting my friends gen 5 glock and have fallen in love with that less pronounced wall in the trigger pull.

Now I know this is calguns so someone will say, "just go PPT a gen 5"... but then I will have 1 trigger thats different in the whole bunch and I don't want to re-train myself on 2 different trigger presses.

There are plenty of trigger upgrades available.

For my competition G34 Gen 3 (iron sights) and Gen 5 (carry optics) - they have more or less the same "rolling break" feel... Albeit, they have the kit from the same person (so, basically half of what your question is)...

That said, I am guessing that your friend's Gen 5 is NOT stock OEM. My stock Gen 5 doesn't have a rolling break trigger...

You could go apex action enhancement kit on all of them. Major improvement over stock gen 3 triggers.

Rodralig - He says its stock. The wall of the break is what seems so different. My gen 3s all have that 5.5 lb wall that is so familiar. His on the other hand, I start the trigger press, keep pressing and the trigger just seems to break without stopping at a wall.

Ddn4me- I have the apex kit in my M&P and love it, but I kind of like my glocks to stay as close to stock as I can keep them.

There are multiple snake oil connectors out there with different profiles that result in a much different feels.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

Gen 3 to gen 5 does not require you to re-train yourself. Just shoot more

And this. Throw in an OEM minus connector and spend the rest on ammo

^ 100% correct but you'd spend a lot of time and effort figuring out which one and springs to set it up.

As for the "rolling break" you mentioned, Charlie Vanek at Vanek Custom specialized in that kind of pull in the Gen 3 and 4 pistols. It weird you mentioned the Gen 5 having it because he "cannot" produce the same rolling brake with his Gen 5 kit's.

His triggers are so smooth, I can show someone how to feel the trigger wall on a stock Glock and then hand them a 17 that has his kit and it just goes click, before they even feel the wall.

Snake oil parts are just that, but there is a measurable difference with a complete kit from a professional. (you're going to pay $$$ for $$ parts though..)

                    Good luck and have fun!

Do you do norcal matches, Matt? I’d love to try that trigger. I assume it’s in a g34?

I've had an OEM minus connecter and hated it, almost seemed like there was more overtravel.

us3- do you have the classic or classic GM? The classic sounds like a real winner.

As for the shoot more crowd... yes, but have y'all seen the prices of 9??

I'm not sure, I emailed him with very specific questions about the kits and mods and he asked me to call him. I did and we talked about what I wanted and he said he'd take care of it. (I think I paid $150 for a complete kit with a bunch of extra springs)

Aside of a trigger kit, for just pre and post travel, you need an offset trigger pad with a set screw for pre travel and a trigger housing with a set screw for post travel. I think that's what most people are looking for but they spend lots of time and money on the trigger pull kits when just looking for a trigger adjustment.

Just my opinion but I hope it helps either way

Had one of his triggers around 10 years ago. Light primer strikes with most brands of ammo I tried. He said you have to use federal primers for consistent reliability so not a good choice during an ammo shortage.

DK Triggers had what I consider a rolling break for Gen 3's. Unfortunately, I think he stopped making triggers.
