I don't know if this Handgun is California approved, or not - may I still post about it ?

was recently reading about Browning's .380 1911 - did some youtube searching, saw Hickok 45's review then told my Wife that the pistol looks like a good one

in a couple of days she went to our (somewhat) local Gun Store and bought one. We took it (along with our other .380s - G42 & Sig 238) to the range and we both found it to be a very comfortable and enjoyable gun to fire

I would recommend this pistol to anyone - especially if you're got new-to-shooting younger people coming up - or for recoil sensitive folks. Tho I don't carry these days and it's magazine capacity is but 8 rds, this is a pistol that I would consider as a carry firearm (empty weight is only 18ozs)

The only down side with Browning 1911-380 very little aftermarket support......

It got my wife to carry hers everywhere as it had the same safety features as her larger 1911s and light weight

My .380 isn't a 1911 but it is a Browning. A DBA to be exact. Love that gun and have had it since about 1982 with its 12 round magazine. It is on my CCW permit and carried a lot. I have 1911's (both 45 automatic and 10MM) and love them too. This little .380 is pleasant to carry and shoot.

ive been trying to locate one to buy ever since they hit the market. always a grand or 1100 and in so cal which means 2 long

Man I saw that little 85% 380 a while back and thought it looked really fun. Low recoil, a little miniature 1911 made by a reputable company. Good pick up. You can post that here. I recommend checking out laws a bit more. Maybe you know laws but are unsure of policies here? Understandable, just don’t be asking about how/why Optics Planet Or Cheaper than dirt screwed up your order. We’ve heard it. Jk, enjoy that new gun!

I had seen the Browning during one of my "walk-thrus" at our local gun store - that gave me the nudge to research it - the Wife then bought the one I'd seen and got it for a very reasonable price - it's a keeper and it's sorta making her G42 and Sig 238 obsolete in our collection
