    AR Pistol muzzle device question.

Hi. Do I need to pin and weld the muzzle device on my fixed mag AR pistol?

Also, can a flash hider be used with an AR pistol in California or are only muzzle brakes legal?

Pistols need to have a maglock as featureless is not an option. With the maglock you can have those so called evil features except stock, vfg, and magazine holding more than 10 rounds.

Birdcage hider, keeps it short and doesn’t make it louder.

Thank you! I wasnt sure if threaded barrels needing to either have the thread turned down or have the muzzled device welded on. I guess neither in the case of AR pistols.

It's got nothing to do with the AR pistol.

The Assault Weapon statute provides that a semi-auto pistol with a detachable magazine and a threaded barrel is an Assault Weapon (and a felony to possess if not registered).

By converting to a fixed magazine, you place your threaded barrel pistol outside of this definition.
