    CZ75 Full Size vs PCR

I have both. PCR is a relatively recent acquisition.

I went to a range recently and my initial impression on PCR was - sights are off and I should contact cz-usa warranty service. At 15 yards It would shoot ~ 8" below aiming point.

But then I realized that I just had to hold PCR very strong. Much stronger than its full size (and weight) counterpart and in this case shots would be much more accurate and reasonable at 15 yards for me.

It might make sense as PCR has lightweight aluminum lower with steel upper. It is not evenly weiht balanced if you think about it.

Anyone else has opinion on PCR accuracy?

    I can hit steel silhouette at 100 yards w/ P01...same for SP01.

    Both are accurate

I have both, at 15 yards free hand I get 4"-6" away from the POA , but that is me not the pistols.

I guess I will order boresight and check if there's any discrepancy.

The PCR is a very accurate gun and given the fact that your accuracy improved substantially when you focused on your grip, I doubt that there is anything wrong with it. Keep working on technique, take a class.

With all that being said I sold my PCR because, while mechanically accurate it did find it to have a bit more muzzle flip, less quick to get back on target. Of course my technique can always be improved upon as well.

But I found both my P-07 and my P-01 easier to shoot accurately with less effort.

What ammo were you using? Elevation shifts with bullet weight and velocity.

Shooting low? Sounds like me when I haven’t practiced and that flinch comes back...

I always want to blame it on the sights of my gun, but I’m rapidly inaccurate once I haven’t practiced for more than 2 weeks. I always shoot low, but dead center for aim. At least the dry fire is helping me keep it midline. I just need to stop constantly redeveloping the flinch.

I have both. The PCR is surprising easy to shoot well. And yes, balance is a "thing" when it comes to the handling and sighting of a handgun but how much that affects the shooter depends upon the individual.
On my PCR the rear sight was just a hair to the left of center on the slide. And the test target showed the group about 1.5" left of center. I used a sight adjustment tool to center up the rear blade and it now shoots to center and about 2" high at 15 yards. Perfect.

Sounds like you are flinching with the lighter PCR.

                    Heavy handguns shoot awesome.

Might be, but it was not just me who noticed this particular PCR aiming being weird. A friend of mine could not hit metal target. His point of compare was his full size CZ as well. One would expect these two to shoot/feel very similarly.

So I'll start from borescope just to get to a point of some common basis.

Luckily, CZ has good warranty. Ask me how I know. Although, I'd rather prefer to have a handgun that does not need to go for warranty service.

Yo OP - have the RSO at your range shoot a few magazines worth through it. I've found they are good sports about being able to tell if a gun is shooting well, or if something is off.

In my experience major aberrations are RARELY the weapon's fault, especially with modern guns.

I once heard someone say even a cheap pistol is usually more accurate than the human holding it is.

The particular incident I was thinking of was when I had my Browning BDM and it seemed to be shooting about 2" high from POA at 10 yards. I had the RSO have a go at it and he was consistently getting 1.5-1.75" high from POA. So in that case it was just helpful to see if results it were consistent between me and someone with more experience.

After a quick trip to a local gunsmith, a little trigger work, and a little bit of filing down the front sight (replacement was not an option on this gun) it shot just fine as long as I used a 6 o'clock hold. Overall it was a good learning experience.

I believe all CZs come with a computer generated test fire. If you're way off that, it's the shooter. I shot a PCR recently...sweet trigger and was roughly POA @ 10yds with 115gr range ammo.

I've only had one gun that was way off -- SAR K2-45 (rear sight needed to go way right on TWO of them).

What is this I keep hearing about CZ's coming with a test target? I just bought a brand new 97B last month and it didn't come with one. Not even a fired casing.
