I sure was excited to shoot 22LR out of my 92fs. It was fun but the conversion kit was jamming like crazy FTF and failure to ejects, I could barely make it through a ten round magazine without malfunctions. Probably 300 rounds fired and 20 or more malfunctions at least. Switched back to the 9 mm slide and ran 50 rounds without a problem. Does anyone else have experience with this conversion kit? Any help or thoughts appreciated, thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with the Kimber 1911 22 conversion and Sig mosquito which isn't a conversion. You need the hottest 22 round you can find. 22 in a standard style auto tends to be a problem. 22 target guns though generally no problem. -
I was looking to get one but did a little research and found a lot of the same you're saying so ended up not getting it.Comment

on the one i have there seems to be alot of drag when the slide moves back to cock the hammer smoothing these areas may help also that hot ammo idea works for meDSC02638.jpgLast edited by john myers; 09-21-2020, 4:12 PM.Comment

Cheap ammo doesn't help. I find the hot CCI ammo tends to run best. The bulk pack Federal, Winchester or Remington stuff tends to jam - which is great for practicing clearing malfunctions! Mine never chokes on 9mm, so I use the Kit with cheap ammo to train recovery from stoppages.

I just bought one myself. Haven't shot it yet. I do have a ton of "high velocity" ammo.
Mine does have the 92X performance trigger with lighter hammer spring. Perhaps it won't choke as much.My Marketplace Feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...k#post54003245Comment

Hi there! I've had no problems with various 40 grain round nose; my favorite is Remington Thunderbolts. It runs in all of my conversions including my G20. Granted, there have been some under-powered shots ever now and then but squibs and duds have not materialized with over 15k rounds sent. Consistently get nickel sized groups with bolt rifles at 50 yards. Lead fouling does become an issue, but easily handled with periodic bore brushing after 100 rounds...ymmv depending. Good luck!Comment

I had the light strike problem with both of my Beretta M9 and 92FS Inox. The reason are: My M9 has Wilson Combat spring kit, and my 92FS Inox has M-Carbo spring kits, the hammer spring are #12 or #14. After swap back the OEM hammer spring (#18/#20 ????) everything run OK. I shoot mine with mostly HV.Comment

I have the Italian kit, the new ones are German.
The Italian mags feed too high, jamming the bullet into the top of the barrel.
The lips are short in length, not supporting the round during feeding, I don't think squeezing them will help.
I bought two German mags for it, have not field tested them yet.
The feed lips are longer on the German mags.sigpic

I got that kit and couldn't get it to to install on my 92FS lower.. the locking lug would turn and STOP before being fully rotated..
