    Glock 21

I have a family friend and his father is selling a Glock 21. He said it comes with a lasersight and he is asking $450. Is this a good deal for this gun, and is this a decent model of glock? I don't have much info on it right now so I will try to find out more if it is needed.

The G21 is a good gun...with a rather large grip. Unless you have large hands, you may want to handle and shoot the G21 before putting money on the barrelhead. However, even some folks with average-sized hands find the G21 comfortable.

The G21SF accomodates average-sized hands a little better.

I bought my Glock 21 SF with trijicon night sights from Pro-Force a few months ago, for about $520. They're selling the standard Glock 21 right now for $464.99. If his is in near-new condition I'd say $450 is a fair price considering he's throwing in the laser. What kind of laser is it by the way?

Im not sure what type of laser it is, Ill try to find out. No, I don't have any handguns yet (plenty of rifles though), I turn 21 in under three months. Im trying to figure out if it is such a steal that I should jump on it or if I can afford to pass. I would really rather have a 9mm for my first handgun, so if its not a great deal I'll survive.

Pro-force sells to lawmen ,security and firefighters only. There goes the good price. Not a good benchmark.

Its your choice 22cal, 38spl, 9mm . The 45 acp takes time and money to master

Is what sold me on wanting a Glock.
I'd personally jump on it if I saw one at that price, nobody seems to be selling them at all though.

I say hold off on the G21 and buy that 9mm you want when turn 21. Ive been planning my first handgun purchase forever now and when I hit 21 in about a month, I know exactly what I'll be buying.

As mentioned, see if you like the pistol first, don't get caught up in the "i gotta get a pistol asap" trap. I bought a G21 and discovered after a few range trips that I really hated the grip size, and later learned I did not like the grip angle.
The "best" handgun caliber debate rages on, meanwhile I just keep buying low recoil 00 buck.

Buy it and you can use it as trade bait for a new 9mm.

                        I'd take that.

450 is a great price for a G21. Glocks tend to hold their value and like Greg Dawg said........I'd take that bait.

I paid 502 OTD for my G21 with 3 mags and trijicons new in box. I got hooked up.

When I turned 21 almost ten years ago, my first purchase was a G21. I remember when I was stuck between a G22, G21 and a stainless fullsize HK.45. At the time I really wanted the HK because it was bling and shiny but it was a little out of my price range. So then the decission was between two calibers of Glocks. My reasoning for the 21 was, if I am going to be limited to 10 rounds, I wanted 10 rounds that made a bigger hole. At the time I didn't consider grip size but it all worked out since I have long fingers. The tag price of a G21 back then was $469!
