I have a RIA Tactical and I was hoping you guys could recommend some adjustable Novak style rear sights that can be fitted with little to no filing. Thanks.

Why not a Novak adjustable.

Why do you want adjustable sights? They're pointless.
Get good fixed sights.
I actually own those Novaks and hate them. If you want to buy me some Heines, I'll trade them
The slide would need machining anyways.

According to Advanced Tactical in Nev. (the importers of the RIA line) the Tactical (I love mine but am wanting to replace the sights as well) uses a Novak cut and they recommend Champion sights.
YMMV but I want to see pics when you get them changed out.Comment

There's guys on the m1911 forum who have done detailed measurements on the sight cuts, you may want to research here a little:
Only 1911 pistols marked RIA or Armscor on the slide are to be discussed in this forum. Other pistols manufactured by Armscor (for other vendors, like Citadel etc) should NOT be discussed here. For support use this link: https://armscor.com/support-center/contact-support/
You might start here with this thread:
Ok I've read tactical have a "real" novak cut, I've read that the cut is slightly different and the slide needs to be machined for a proper fit. And i've read that the cut is close to a novak cut and minor filing will allow for standard novak sights to be used. I'm trying to make my 1911 purchase but at this time the blank sights are a deal breaker for me, the money I would save buying a tactical I would be willing to put back in and buy new sights, but I need to make sure they fit first.Comment

Thanks for the recommendations and the links. I wanted to get some adjustable rears because as it is now my tactical shoots incredibly low (at about 7 yards I aim an inch above the top of the target and hit close to the bottom) but it gets fairly nice groups. I had purchased some Springfield Armory sights (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=721189) and they were about .02" big and I didn't want to file out too much metal from the slide. Sorry for this rather pointless response, but your input is much appreciated.Comment
