    New M&P9

I fell into an MP9 recently and hadnt been able to decide weather or not to keep it or sell it. I didnt have high expectations since it was a smith semi. I have to say after today, It was one of the best 9mm I have ever fired. Even the other instructor who was at the range tried it out who was a glock guru, and he was impressed how it was for "a smith semi".
I even like it better than my HK but if you guys ever tell anyone Ill straight up deny it!!!!

    M&p 40

I recently bought an m&p 40. Excellent weapon. I have no care for the 9mm though. The 40 is the smallest round I would trust my life to. The 9 just doesnt have the stopping power. If you can handle the 9 you should be able to handle the 40 or 45.
I am having a hard time finding a form fitted paddle style concealable holster for the 40. any suggestions? Ive heard the g17 from fobus works but i dont have a dealer local that can let me try one so i have to order on the net. Id like it to be right the first time

round doesnt matter its all about shot placement.
Dont think just cause the bullet is bigger its going to stop someone dead in there tracks. I have heard of people getting pumped with 7 rounds of .45 acp and still charge someone.

And there was just a story the other day of the lady shot 8 times in the head at point blank range.

Shot placement isn't everything, and round size isn't everything. It's both, combined.

I personally reach for my .45 75% of the time when I feel I might need it, but I do grab my 9mm from time to time. The .45 is my prefered round, but that doesn't make it the best round out there. Get profecient with your weapon before you argue whether one is better or not. A 9mm round in a bad guy is better than a handful of .45s in the wall.

I had one of these Aker holsters for my Glock 22. It also works with my M&P 9 if you loosen the retention screw a little.

I figured for $369 from Buds you can't go wrong with the M&P. I've read mostly positive reviews from gun guys on various forums. Took mine out yesterday. I like it. My only complaint is the ambi-slide stop. Being a lefty, my thumb rides it and prevents slide lock on the last round. Otherall a good gun regardless of what caliber you prefer. I'll have to try one in .40.

MY HK USP45 hardly kicks for a 45 but when i used my M&P, it was like shooting a .22. Even using a "mexican holster" (had no holster so i used my belt and being EXTREMELY careful) i broke my time for drawing and accelerated pair. If i could do that consistantly then bad guy would get more 9mm holes and faster than if it was my .45
Besides, I read some statistics on single shot drops and they were extremely low for ANY caliber hand gun.
