    Best upgrades for Springfield XD?

I'm happy with my Powder river upgrade. I put in their ultimate match target trigger kit, but the ultimate quick upgrade kit would of worked. Yes, it did take some hand fitting, but the kit really smoothed the trigger and made the reset a bit shorter than stock. https://shop.powderriverprecision.ne...XD-4-5_c30.htm

After installation, I thought the upgraded springs were a bit light, so I'm running the stock springs with the upgrade kit now.

BTW this is the kit that Springfield's custom shop uses to upgrade triggers

All I did was add some grip tape.
Also picked up a .40 to 9mm barrel and mags.
Never felt the trigger needed any work.

Reliability wise you should replace the single roll pin with a double roll pin as they will shear.

I just picked up a xd tactical with aftermarket sights, grip tape and trigger. All are very nice upgrades. It reminds me of a Glock. Great gun but a trigger, sight and grip tape/stipling (spelling?) are good upgrades.

I added better sights, but the trigger just needs round count imo. Choot it more.

I would much rather have the XD then a CZ. I do own an XD and it's an amazing gun. Why don't you just use that money to buy ammo and shoot that thing until it falls apart??

I have an XD Tac w/powder river upgrades and sight upgrade. The sights I'm using are TruGlo TFX Pro. These are Tritium with fiber optic. I use this gun to shoot USPSA Steel Challenge. You can get them off E-bay for $120 or less usually.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

Upgrading is often productive and fun, but it won't always help and could prove spendy.

Selling the XD and buying what you want is probably faster and cheaper.

Thanks for all the responses. I did in fact snag some talon grips for my XD (was getting a bit too much hand sweat shooting outdoors).

I’ll take a look at the prp trigger upgrades. I’ve shot around 600-700 rounds through it so far and find the trigger a bit on the squishy side.

Going to put some orders in and see how it goes! Good thing I like tinkering.
