It’s all just another plan to infringe on our rights to bear arms and that’s the truth. They’re spending so much time and money thinking of new ways to remove roster qualified handguns. A roster infringing on law abiding people’s 2A Rights that doesn’t stop criminals from acquiring illegal guns. The wise man said just find your place

I don’t think Ruger, Glock, Smith and Wesson, Browning, Colt, Sig, H&K, etc....I don’t think any gun manufacturer will be making these guns. I think it will be a company of anti-gun lawmakers. People supporting, or being supported by anti-gun people.
And of course criminals will always commit crimes. I don’t think that was ever a question.Comment

I think your theory is flawed...
California law makers only tighten the tight enough to control and not kill the California gun owner. If your theory came to pass SCOTUS would consider that a flagrant attack on the Second Amendment, determining the California Roster unconstitutional. This would solidify case law against that type of infringement.
California law makers only push till they almost kill and back off a bit, all under the cover of child safety.
What I wish is that all gun makers would refuse to pay the extortion monies that are demanded to be able to sell in California and by default new handguns would dry up in California. SCOTUS would have no option but to step in and determine the California Roster unconstitutional. I believe SCOTUS has already determined that people have a right to own a handgun, so case law exists.

Good point, I see where you are coming from However SCOUTS hasn’t been hearing cases and I doubt the CA law makers really care if they do. It takes a very long time to get anything to happen when it comes to giving the rights back to the people. I think they have 100+ new laws/bills that they want to push through and they run them like pilot episodes of shows. Seeing which ones will get through and be successful. The effort of the gun owner is to live and be free. I hope it doesn’t take a civil war to calm the nerves of america. I also agree with what would happen if manufacturers stopped paying the california tax to get their old design new in box pistols here. That said, it would never happen. These businesses are in the business of making money. If somehow every company stopped, you’d have someone springing up to a bigger piece of the pie. I cannot believe people voted in micro stamping in the first place. It would be the same as only allowing cars to be sold that put off no emissions, AND are 100% recyclable/biodegradable....the technology isn’t here but what does that matter.I think your theory is flawed...

There is some logic to OP's view of things. There almost certainly be a manufacturer willing to play ... after all they would have a monopoly in CA and each time a "fear" cycle showed up they would be the only game in town. You can see what the current "fear" event has done to gun prices.Comment

OP may be on to something. And do color and sight variations count as different roster listings for the purpose of knocking guns off the roster? If so, a single gun in ten colors and with three different sight options will knock off 90 guns from the roster
CA is not doing this to benefit us, they *always* do it to screw us.Comment

Actually, the law was created in response to this gun. "Once two 'smart guns' are on the roster, all new additions to the roster must be smart guns" (or words to that effect).
Thankfully, Armatix USA seems to be bankrupt and their guns are no longer on the roster.
I wonder what Belinda Padilla (former CEO of Armatix USA) is doing these days?Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.Comment

Not that far fetched. We know the people who run this state are corrupt to the extreme. For example, look at the various iterations of gas cans that have been mandated over the years. Every CARB approved generation with a new 'environmentally friendly' configuration but impossible to use without spilling gas. Somebody's brother in law was given the no bid contract to manufacture these abortions.
This is just another opportunity to rip us off.
So, yeah, your assessment has merit IMO.
It's not about 'gun safety' or 'crime control'. It's about enriching their friends and themselves.California Native

To have an effective micro-stamp, it would have to work with steel cases, brass, nickel-plated and aluminum. Is it really possible to successfully, consistently and effectively micro-stamp into all of those materials?
(Especially if a sketchy manufacturer?)Comment
