    Not rust, a sort of copper grease. All glocks ship with a dab.

          I actually bought a tube of that grease it's called antiseizing copper grease C5-A from Loctite. I used it when I was building my err nvm...

              NO, it is a dry lube Glock puts in the firearm. Don't try to scrub it out.

                  That is factory lube. You might run a few hundred rounds before cleaning it and using whatever lube you prefer.

                            I bought some too, thinking it would help break in other polymer wonders. Maybe a noticeable difference, nothing definitive.
