There's always negative posts about these little babies all over the internet (along with hipoints), until you try one and discover that they shoot pretty well. The snobbishness seems to dissipate. Keep an open mind and let the results speak for themselves.

        Good job OP!

I have noticed people making the claim that so many others hate on hi-points and cheap guns. A lot, but I have never really seen many actually talk trash about hi-points or cheaper pistols. For the most part, people seem to respect the freedom of choice. Just my experience.

Hahaha, hilarious. I see these things sold in gun shops (here in CA) and people think, well if the gun shop sells it, it must be legal. Yes it is legal when not attached to a pistol! Haha

                    Here is what you attached.
Not an SBR, but still think it adds a foregrip and makes your pistol an assault weapon.
I could be wrong, standby for the legal eagles.

Looks questionable to me, possibly a second handgrip - playing with fire IMO. Could also possibly be a NFA AOW.

                    30515.
                    (a) Notwithstanding Section 30510, “assault weapon” also means any of the following:
                    ...
                    (4) A semiautomatic pistol that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:
                    (A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
                    (B) A second handgrip.
                    (C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer’s hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
                    (D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

Making an unregistered “AOW” is punishable by a fine and 10 years’ imprisonment. Additionally, possession of an unregistered “AOW” is also punishable by fine and 10 years’ imprisonment.

There is a reason they are advertised only for GBB (aka gas blowback airsoft) toys, and not real guns.

There are plenty of guys in prison for putting 'airsoft' Glock parts on real guns. Last time around it was happy switches.

Make sure you are stocked up on soap on a rope if you decide to put this on a real gun. 10 years in prison is a long time to be worried about dropping it in the communal shower.

As I understand it the early ones had some issues. IIRC reliability wasn't one of them.

They get a bad rap for being a cheap gun, but I've never had an issue with one and have sold tons and never heard back it was crap or even had a return of one.

I don't mean to thread jack or anything, but rather than start a new thread, I figured I'd just ask here:

Can the regular sights on an SD9VE (123903) be modified and changed out to have the same hi-viz sights as the SD9VE Hi-Viz (11907) model? ...Or would I be better off just buying the Hi-Viz to begin with if the mod is possible but isn't worth the trouble?

                          Thanks
