I would send it back to Glock. Ask them for a return authorization and allow them to foot the bill to make it right.
Pistol ships overnight via Fedex or UPS, should not take more than a couple weeks to get it back to you.
If they can not fix it, they should replace it- would involve a DROS for a new pistol
Of course you can throw couple hundred dollars of your own money buying new parts in hope of fixing it.
Make Glock fix it.

This ^^^^^. Tell them your gun is not “perfection”, and you would like them to make it right before you start slamming them online for not wanting to help you with a defective product.

Is the barrel a Glock brand barrel?
I have seen this issue with a very in-expensive series of aftermarket Glock barrels. The slide locks back due to the barrel and when it drops back.
This was not a cleaning issue nor slide release issue.

I should add I tried a number of fixes to get the barrel to work.

Not many Glock armorer's carry replacement barrels, I know I don't. You should have Glock repair it. Ask for a return label. Sometimes they will pay both ways.

I also don't have replacement barrels on hand, because it's not a thing that is commonly replaced and they last for tens of thousands of rounds.

They dont carry them but i will save $70 in shipping if glock sends them the replacement barrel. Ive called twice and they have yet to offer to cover the cost of shipping. Thats why im trying to find someone to help me out

With another 19 it would be relatively easy to find the issue.
Simply change out individual parts.

Outside that you could try and isolate the issue.

I assume the slide with the barrel and recoil spring assembly will move its entire length on the frame and not stick?

You can place the slide and barrel without the recoil rod assembly onto the slide and check that movement.
Just keep the barrel rearward as you slide it on.
It will lock into place.
Now you can check the movement rearward and see if it catches.
Look for obvious signs of metal on metal wear.
Something is binding and holding it to the rear.

I saw this issue with the aftermarket barrel when the slide would unlock from the chamber area allowing the barrel chamber to move downward slightly for the next cartridge.
This is where it would stick.

I agree with sending it back. Local armorer is just going to confirm what you already know. The barrel was cut wrong.

Why can’t you just send back the barrel? Based on the pics you posted here, it would be extremely obvious to anyone in the glock warranty department that the barrel is defective.

Well glock said that the armorer sends in the barrel and they replace it with a new one.... they want a armorer send in just the barrel. If i send it in they will want the whole gun
