    M&P slide back plate

I have a M&P 2.0 compact. The back plate on the slide plays tricks on my eyes that the gun is slightly out of battery because the back plate isn't completely flush with the gun like a glock is. Are there any aftermarket back plates that are thinner? I believe the 1.0 and 2.0 use the same back plates.

I know it's a small gripe but its distracting me when I shoot.

I don't know that there are any "thinner" backplates, but I have seen an aluminum one that's smooth--perhaps the removal of the texture would help reduce the illusion?

You'll often see companies laser engrave them, but you should be able to find a blank version on the internets.

    Edit: something like this:

Disclaimer: not affiliated with them, just found it interesting that this has an M&P and a Glock next to each other

That's a lot better than what came on the gun. It's not the texture that's bothering me, it's the base plate sticking out further than the frame.
