S&W 627? Can't beat 8 rounds of .357 for the "I ain't messin' around" messaging. I thought the larger frame vs the 686 would feel too big in my hands but it actually feels great. A nice revolver for sure.

Actually it's a 9mm 929 with the barrel cut to five inches, so it looks like my 627

Excellent mod. I wish I thought of that back when I was choosing between the 986 and 929. I am happy with 5" of my 986 and pro series 686 both 7 shot. An 8 shot 5" would be even better.

I want to support BLM but its now a long drive for me. The closest forest service place has been closed for over two years.

The only drawback on 7 shot revo's is they're not competitive in ICORE or USPSA. If you're not shooting one of those two sports, it doesn't matter much.
