    S&W ROCKS!

I bought an earlier version Smith & Wesson Bodygaurd 380 from a fellow Calgunner awhile back. But after putting a magazine or two through it the slide jammed, a common former problem caused by the laser retention screw loosening inside the frame. I honestly believe that the failure happening to me was just happenstance and in any case decided to contact S&W about the problem as I had read here on these forums and elsewhere that they stand behind their firearms. And they did. They sent me a shipping label and I sent the gun back to MA and within 5 weeks or so they returned it, complete with the new style Crimson Trace laser. I received it today and fired a couple mags through it with absolutely no problems. I'm hoping that it continues to perform this well of course and in any case I was quite impressed with the performance of the company, itself, that made the firearm.

    Good thing it wasn't a Sig.... You'd be S.O.L.

Didn't know that. So far no problems with my P238 fortunately.

I have different experience with SW, labels issued fast but it spent more time of this year at factory than in my hands or my safe[emoji3].

Glad it worked out for you.
I've had great experiences with Ruger, Browning and CZ providing great repair service. On the other hand, Dan Wesson was a stingy bastard.

S&W isn't in the same range operational league as Sig.

Smith has had my 586 since January to perform the recall on it. I called them today and they still don't know when I'll get my revolver back.

In my experience with different firearm manufacturers Ruger has them all beat, even the custom handgun makers.

I had an issue with my Ruger Single Six that I could not rectify myself, so I called them. They gave me an RMA number and had UPS pick the gun up at my house. Ten days later, it was back in my hands, good as new. No hassling with shipping. No cost to me.

                          They done good!
