    Any On-Roster 2011’s?

    Are there any?
I searched the roster for “2011” but didn’t find any.
Looking for any “2011” style pistols that i could order today if i wanted to.
Double stack 9 with 1911 trigger and styling.

The only two on the roster from strayer are .45
If they are double stack that would be cool but, I don't even see them from sale on their website.

The models as listed by the DOJ are:

          1. "Infinity Comp. Target / Stainless Steel, Polymer"
          2. "Infinity Trad. Target Pistol / Stainless Steel, Steel"

SV guns are total custom builds. Every gun is made to order. You can call them for a quote on the rostered gun or you can spec out your own build using the gun builder form and submit it for a quote.

ROCK Island Armory has one double stack 1911 on roster,

RIA, GI FS HC model. It is a GI (read spur hammer, basic sights) and it is around $600, give or take.
                    Good start for a build.

Ordered an SVI 2011 in February this year. Was quoted a 6-8 month wait time which is pretty good.

All together, 2011 builds probably start at $5k, and up to the mid $6k as long as you don't go crazy on them. $7k+ for full open gun builds, or builds with lots of intricate slide cuts and blast patterns

There are several options, none of which are straightforward.

SVI is one - yes, you order directly from them, they will send you a stock 45, you send it back, they create fully custom gun. All you are doing is transferring the frame, which is "the gun" in the eyes of the ATF - the serialized part. SVI will then rebuild it into whatever you wanted.

There are others who are doing the same business model. I believe both Nighthawk and Wilson are doing it, but I haven't done it and I don't know if they can transfer a 2011 frame (different from 1911 frame, doesn't come with a grip).

Finally, you can import virgin frames and have a completely custom build, but this is a bit trickier and involves a knowledgeable FFL to get you the frame. Once you have the frame, it's the same process as if SVI was building you a gun.

If i did go this route, how similar is the frame to other double stack .45 1911s?
By that i mean, is it like a Glock in that there are lots of aftermarket parts? (Slides, triggers, barrels, mags, etc...)
Or will i have to go to a gunsmith for everything?

RIA uses Para Ordnance magazines. Other than the magazine, mag release, trigger, magwells, and grips, everything else is traditional 1911.

Magazines are unique but I recall someone other than Rock Island makes them, so there's options.

Unlike a Glock, 1911s and 2011s are, in general, not simple DIY drop-in. Swapping slides and barrels, for example, will be a gunsmith-type ordeal.
