    CZ trigger after Cajunized ?

    Hi, All
Was thinking of picking up an SP-01. Rented one at the lgs. Definitely not impressed with the trigger. My other handguns are a 1911 and Smith and Wesson .357 revolvers. so thats my point of reference. The curve of the trigger bit my finger, and it has so much creep it felt like a double action only lighter and there was no crisp break.
I'm wondering how much better Cajun can make it. I can put up with a little creep if there's a decent break. I'm guessing it wont be as nice as the 1911 trigger. I'm hoping Cajun can get it close.
To those who've had it done, What's your experience?
    Thanks

I had my P-01 done and am really pleased with the result. The re contoured trigger (C-85 I believe it's called) makes more ergonomic sense, and the pull for both DA / SA has been cut in half. I recall I'd asked for a 4 lb pull SA and they brought it in at 3.8.

there is no creep, there is small amount of take up before getting to the sheer wall. Break is crispy only rivaled in few guns. Its addictive, the reset is short and accurate.

Get the 85combat trigger shoe in place of the stock SP01 shoe.

My SP01 is 2.5# sa and just under 6# double action.

Oh and I did my own work using CGW parts. I followed his instructions he left another forum on where to polish.

It is silky smooth, just like the Zohan. No grit, crisp break. Not as nice as a tuned 1911, but that is a different trigger system.

Yes that curved trigger sucks. Most stock CZ's will cam the hammer slightly in SA, thus the creep.

A lot of folks go with CGW pro kits, ditch the FPB, and roll with SA only with a flat trigger. With that setup, you can get very close to a 1911 style trigger.

The Cajun CZ will absolutely ruin every other SA/DA handgun for you. I have an SP01 that is a full Cajun house job, and it is absolute perfection in the trigger department.

I had an SP01 and 75B converted to SAO by CGW with their hammer and sear. Very close to a factory 1911 trigger, but not a 1911 with a good trigger job. For that, you'll have to stick with a 1911 with a good trigger job.

Get the pro package it comes with the 85C trigger. I installed mine and love shooting it. I also have a P01 that I put the 85C trigger on. I also have a 97B that I put a pro package in and it made shooting it so much better. If you can work with small parts and have the patience to do the work it makes it all the better and cheaper.

The flat SAO trigger is suppose to feel like the flat pad on a 1911. Really like my SAO (with race hammer) conversion, and it's one of my favorite now.

Reserve or factor in a few hundred for upgrades (DIY with parts or ship it to Cajun/CZC). If you do not want to mod, the SIG P226 has a better trigger factory form.

A comp/race hammer can remove most of if not all of the perceptible creep from the Single Action pull. Each CZ can be unique in this regard. There are other factors that may figure into the feel of the SA trigger pull.

The CGW adjustable Sear allows you to avoid the required hand fitting of the safety leg of the Sear after you swap out the Hammer. Hand fitting or an Adjustable Sear are required to regain safety lever function after swapping to a non factory hammer.

Single Action pre-travel: Factory aprox. 6mill, With CGW Short Reset Kit aprox. 3mill, Removal of the Firing Pin Block and hand fitting an oversized T3 disconector can get you to aprox. 1mill.

The factory SP-01 Black Recurve Trigger can be replaced. There are many replacement options.

I like to avoid comparisons to the 1911. Things become subjective fast when the trigger dynamics of the two pistols are compared.

I bought the Cajun Pro package and had it installed on the 2 SP-01s I have. Now they're my favorite 9mm handguns. They're the closest to a 1911 trigger I have, way better than my Hi Power.

it really is a shame cz discontinued the 75sa
i had a tac sport and sold it because the 75 sa had nearly the same trigger.

Yeah, the factory setup isn't great, but the SP01 gets so awesome with the 85c trigger, a reduced reach and short reset setup.

Just save up and get the Pro-Package from CGW.
