Approved .50 Cal Hanguns in CA DE & Glock

I've been wondering about a couple things regarding the CA Approved Roster of Handguns. http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/safeguns_resp.asp
When I run a search by manufacturer for Magnum Research or for Glock I don't see any .50 Cal versions, and yet I have seen several .50 DE handguns and several .50 Cal converter kits for the Glock 21 and 22 on sale in California.

    What's the deal?

    Conversion kits are legal.

For the Desert Eagle, you buy the Rostered .44mag version and then convert it to .50DE.

Same for the Glocks, buy one and then put hte .50GI kit on it.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Or you can get the Guncrafter Industries 50GI 1911.

The deal is the law is easily bypassed when it is sold through private party transfer or consignment, and the gun itself can be converted once it's legally transferred (either from a dealer or PPT).

The law does not require you to keep the gun in the same configuration as when it was transferred.
