yes, mag must be fixed and require the action to be disassembled to remove.

I think any semi auto pistol with a detachable mag with a threaded barrel is a no go.

Nope. The prohibition is on a semi-auto with a detachable magazine. Please refer to PC 30515. You can have a flash suppressor and a threaded barrel on a semi-auto pistol having a fixed magazine.

You can also have a threaded barrel on a revolver.

Please note that there is no exemption for .22 rimfire in the case of handguns.
