I could be wrong but I thought any pistol with a threaded barrel in CA was a nonoComment

Nope. The prohibition is on a semi-auto with a detachable magazine. Please refer to PC 30515. You can have a flash suppressor and a threaded barrel on a semi-auto pistol having a fixed magazine.
You can also have a threaded barrel on a revolver.
