Glock NS addon - CA roster

So I was curious and wanted to see how much of a discount (and to see if it was worth) using the glock "blue" program.

Now, they have options to choose either fixed sight or their glock NS option, and 5.5 / 8 / NY1 (?) for factory options.

Of course, Gen 3 will be selected, but does picking NS/trigger option still ensure that the glock (17/19/26 gen 3) is still on CA roster?

I tried searching, but I can't tell if adding the night sight gives the gun a different "gun" for the purpose of the roster.

Any ideas?

Don't worry about picking any options - just get the lower price standard, since you would most probably be changing out the sights anyway (even if it were Glock NS).

As mentioned earlier, NS is irrelevant. As long as it is a Gen 3 (in most cases/models) and has a 10-rd magazine (if you are NOT an active LE) - it is Roster-compliant.


PS: Except for my first Glock (G22.3) - all the others have been purchased using "Blue Label" pricing. Just look at the G34.3 - $650 (Turner's on sale) VS $497 with an extra magazine!

I don't know about the trigger option--That'd be a question for your FFL. As for the night sights, the California DOJ states they're good to go.

Thanks, I guess the NS option is confirmed good to go. (Is about $58 to add on) figure there’s some value I’m OEM (like cars.. maybe not)

The trigger is another question though. Can’t find any info regarding different pull weights. 5.5 vs 8 vs NY1 triggers. Are these like sig trigger SRT upgrades?

Blue labels are duty guns. Example, the consumer g34/35 comes with the 3.5lb connectorand adjustable sights while the blue label will have 5.5lb and fixed sights. 5.5lb is the standard. Night sights are optional, extra cost but roster exempt. Heavier triggers can be had but its based on the shops inventory or can order it. Most of the time the shop sells the connector.

The prices are great, but availability and distance sometimes sucks. Some stores have blue label inventory but most just order from Glock. My last ordered blue label purchase from a store took about 4 months and from Glock direct took me 6 months. The nearest cop shop to me is two - three hours away and I can't do that twice. So I elect to wait and still think they're worth it because used Glocks in the marketplace run more than the blue label program. If you have a local dealer that has inventory then thats a real bonus. But be aware of shops that carry blue label vs blue label dealers. I've seen shops charge full pop for blue label and even Glock says thats not OK. Bummed that GSSF says we can use one coupon a year. I'd buy multiple in a year if they'd let me haaha.

I’m retired MIL. So I can only get CA roster, which makes it a little different I think. They said it’s 180+ days lol

Gen 3 USA is not on roster. Just a heads up....it has to be Austria made.
