Defintely a P89, built like a Sherman tank. Just sold one on Calguns to a guy who collects them. In fact he did DROS on mine and another in same shop back-to-back.

P series Rugers are great - have a P95DC that I picked up cheap, shoots VERY accurately, built like a tank, and reliable. Most "off roster" guns bring a premium, P series go for reasonable prices if and when you can find them.

As a full size handgun, they are I suppose a bit bulky, and hefty, but overall, it's a great, underrated gun - there are a number of variations and calibers in the P series, no "rimfires" though <wink>!

I bought some 17 rd mags back in the 80's when I thought I was going get one, that was before the high capacity ban. I almost forgot I had them until I saw this post.

If you break your bumper jack handle the Ruger can do the job. Good pistol.

I think that’s a p 90. Great work guns with the decocker. Not super accurate but accurate enough. Mine’s in .40 with a blued slide. Love the all metal construction. They often go used here cheap. I’ve often thought of grabbing one in .45. My gun is a tank. 60k rounds before I got a few failures. New recoil springs from ruger and good to go. They wanted to go over the whole gun but I asked to just be shipped springs. I added hogue one piece grips. Even Front Sight instructors complimented the gun. I just prefer a simpler firearm for self defense. If you like it I wouldn’t hesitate.

Nah, more like a P90 with a P89 magazine next to it for comparison.

I have a stainless P90DC with Hogue grips and able to shoot quarters at 10 yards until my arm gets tired. It's my home defense carry.

                              Maybe it's a P89DC.

Note the decocking lever and magazine well shape on my P90DC:

Now compare that to the standard P89:

The gun in the top post has a 9mm magwell and 10 round 9mm magazine and a decocker lever and a lanyard ring of the DC models.

                              That makes it possibly a P89DC or a P91DC.

Here is the 10 round Ruger 9mm mag for a P89:

Here is the 10 round Ruger 40s&w mag for a P91:

Can't imagine why they would stick a 9mm magazine next to a 40S&W but I suppose it could also be a P91DC.
It's definitely not a P90DC as you can see the magwell opening differences.

And with MORE research, I am changing my answer to P85 due to the distinct selector style and the DC models not having the selector slot cut of the standard non DC models:
