The first time I watched it I thought he got his pistol caught on his shirt and that's why everyone laughed. It wasn't until later that they showed him doing it in a different way that I realized what he was doing.

I guess they carry with empty chambers.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

Weren't the older CZs known for going off when carried that way? Kind of hard to be a body guard with your side arm going off at the person's legs.

Besides, needed or not, it IS something that could come in handy. Never know when you will have to reload and have one hand to do it with.

True. In fact, they teach tactics like that in the various handgun training facilities around the country. If one of your hands is injured and unable to aid in manipulating the weapon, then you must find another means to rack the slide to clear malfunctions or chamber new rounds. Some of the most common ways to do this are on the heel of a boot/shoe or on a sturdy belt. Both of these generally use the rear sights as the means for "hooking" the slide to cock it.

exactly: what if you get a misfire, and your other hand is disabled/occupied?
