Double action single stack 9mm on roster for ccw?

Doing beginning research on possibilities, just looking for some options on this type of handgun. Something smaller but not subcompact.

      Sig P239 for the win!

      Sig P239 is a grreat choice: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_Sauer_P239

Reliable, beautiful, sturdy, well made gun. On the heavy side for CCW, but shoots like a full size gun. Now out of production, but not hard to fine. On roster.

CZ Rami 2075. About the same size as a Glock 26 (which is about the same size as a Springfield XD subcompact) or a double-stack M&P Shield.

Another vote here for the Sig P239. Out of production, but on-roster and still pretty easy to find because they were in production for years and years.

The people recommending the CZ pistols are well-intentioned but cannot read, because they are not single-stack pistols.

I was just about to delete my reply. Duly noted, I read incompletely.

When I went looking for one, they are priced everywhere almost like a Cali-non roster.

Correct. I meant, it's roughly the same size (in height and length) as the shield, and would probably be the same width if the shield were double stacked.

Sorry OP, still doesn't fit your qualifications of single stacked, non-subcompact. Good luck!

Sig P239 is going to be pricey if you want brand-new in the box since they are out of production and popular. But they are not hard to find. Here is one on Gunbroker, certified pre owned for $650 buy it now: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/866196385 Sig certified pre owned is a great service, they go through them very thoroughly, and I think $650 is a screaming buy considering what you get. If you keep an eye on Gunbroker you can get a used one for less.

To me, paying for enduring quality makes a lot more sense than buying the latest fad that is cheap in other states but expensive here because of the roster.

The Sig 239 and the S&W Shield are the only single stack guns mentioned in this thread.

Great post on the Rami, Vinnie. Doesn't look as thick from the top as I expected. Can you do a side by side with the Shield looking up from the butt of the grip, please? Like to see how thick it looks in comparison from that angle.

Yup. Sig P-series have always been a little spendy. Even here in a state without a roster, a base model P229 street price is something like $800-900, with deals only being found on police trade-ins or on weird one-off models like the one CDNN has right now based off the old 228 frame. $650 for a CPO P239 is a fair price, IMO.
