    New .45 barrel

Hello all, I have a Clark custom comp barrel coming for a 1911, I will be shooting lead reloads and was wondering if I should shoot first some hard ball to burnish in the bore, as some old timer shooters used to do. Yes on no?

What did Clark Customs say when you asked them how to break in their barrel?

I asked the salesman, he did not know, the gunsmiths in the back were too busy to bother.

                Fatcat:

Who told you comps don't work on 1911s chambered in 45acp?

Post #7 is a prime example why I like to tease, in good humor of course, some people about
their obsolete guns and bullets by either going faster or bouncing-off cardboard targets.

                  I’d shoot some FMJs first.
