    Glock 37 40 cal conversion

Anyone have experience with the American Tactical conversion kit for the G37? Thinking of trying it out due to the availability of 40 vs 45gap.

    Question:

Is a Glock in GAP your only Glock, and is it one of your first pistol purchases?

    ******
You might need to change out the trigger housing block for the reason to get the correct size ejector for the smaller cases. It will fire all the same without the change, but might have ejection problems.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

Nope, own a G19 and S&W Shield 9mm as well. Got the G37 for free, just trying to make it more usable. The kit comes with a .40 extractor and follower for a .40 mag. Looks like a pretty simple conversion. Just looking to see if anyone has done it and if they think it was worth it.

        Maybe a Hit or Miss

I don't have any experience with the American Tactical conversion kit for the G37 but anything with the words "conversion kit" maybe a hit or miss.

If you get it to work, that'll be great. Let us know.

If it doesn't work, I suggest you read on the American Tactical return policy or accept the $150 loss.

        Glock Talk threads:

Just purchased an ATI conversion unit for my g37 to shoot 40 s&w in it.It comes with a mag follower in order to use the gap mag to load the 40.Would not a mag for a g22 fit the 37 for a simpler way to load the 40 instead of taking the gap mag apart each time?

saw on utube a commercial about ati's conversion unit to convert a glock 45 gap to 40 s&w, Found some complaints and good results about the conversion,Anyone else know anything about it?

Thanks for the links! I'm beginning to think I'm better off sticking with the 45gap, and saving the 150 for something else down the road.

              Now that makes sense.

You might want to look into seeing which FRAME the G37 is in common with OTHER models. You might be able to turn it into something completely different with bargain basement OEM parts.

                The Glock 37 Gen 3 frame is the same as the 17 Gen 3, 17L Gen 3, 22 Gen 3, 24 Gen 3, 31 Gen 3, 34 Gen 3, and 35 Gen 3.

                The Glock 37 Gen 4 frame is the same as the 17 Gen 4, 22 Gen 4, 31 Gen 4, 34 Gen 4, and 35 Gen 4.

Look in the marketplace for a G17 top end, they can be found as low as $300.00, maybe lower if you're patient. Might need extractor, but that part is like $10.00 for. Glocks.
