    Fixed Magazine MPX

Does the Sig MPX take any ar15 fixed magazine kit?
I plan on getting an MPX pistol on monday and it is not yet compliant.

I'm no longer well versed in California compliance stuff, but just to add some data, the old AR Prince50 Bullet Button and the AR Raddlock fit into the MPX and MCX magazine release opening. You still get a large gaping holes above and below the mag lock, but they fit.

I also noticed Prince50 is selling the new style magazine lock:
WELCOME TO BULLET BUTTON® HOME OF THE ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT FIREARMS TOOLS.

Is this what you call a fixed magazine kit now?

I already ordered the mag latch too, but itll take up to 2 weeks just to be shipped out. And I want to quickly do the ppt before this guy flakes out. I was hoping somebody knew of a product and company that would ship quicker than 2 weeks.

The maglatch looks like something I would cobble together from an AR15 mag release if I was desperate. Drill, tap, set screw, bent piece of metal or two.

One of the main differences over the other CA 2017 fixed magazine locking devices is that the BB PMR has a set screw that is utilized to fine tune fit of the PMR to the firearm's upper receiver, so that it fits and works properly. In addition, while out-of-state and after the upper is removed to gain access to the set screw, that set screw can be screwed in, so that the PMR can operate like a standard magazine release.

It is far better than the prince 50 kit. I just shipped an old to CA. Very easy to install and actually works. The prince 50 can be defeated unless you install it so tight you damage your gun or cannot remove it without drilling it out.

Have you checked if Prince50 can ship his sooner? That extra $4 cost might be worth it.

That is very good to know. Someday I may be in the same boat with a MPX.

And I'm not knocking the mag latch product either, I'm just saying it is the one I would try to mimic if I needed a solution on hand in a few hours. It looks like I could maybe fashion it bush-style from some stuff in the parts bin, and at least use it until the real product showed up.
