Ooooooo. I've looked at a bunch of case hardened stuff and it's always JUST out of what I want to spend. May I ask how much it was?

    I want it.

Oh, hell. Looking at them on Bud's right now. Less expensive than I would have expected. I need to talk my out of state dad in to buying me an early Christmas present, or however that whole nonresident father to son transfer thing goes.

Sensitive to light and wipe it down with a oil rag after each and every time you even look at it...

So its like a SAA of 1911's cool?

I'm a big fan of 1911s (as long as they're 45s) but I can't make up my mind on the color case hardening. Right now I'm leaning away but I've only seen them in pictures.

                          Same.

I love CCH on a single action, and don't mind the look on a 1911, but if I were to do a 1911 i'd CCH the frame and have the slide master blued... Not sure if i'd CCH the controls or polish blue them as well?

I can dig it, though! Looks good, OP!

I also like CCH on revolvers. I have two single actions special ordered from Taylor's & Company and both have CCH frames. Wouldn't have it any other way.
