    Rma slide cut question

I have a 19x slide with a rma cut. My question is should I try and find someone to more professionally seal the bare metal or just try and do it myself? Refinishing the entire slide is not an option as I prefer the anodized oem finish. It goes well with the anodized rma hrs and anodized surefire.

Why not just buy a plate?

Water can still get under the plate. Plus it us better to have the RMR sit as low on the slide as possible. This is the point of the cut in the first place.

I think a plate would still be needed to properly seal the rmr. Also I just put a dab of oil and spread it around on the unfinished metal.

Why not just cold blue the area with one of those bluing pens and then lightly oil it?
