What's the point of a reduced-size competition gun? Or does DW actually think people are going to use a 5lb carry gun?

        28.5oz is five pounds?

Arithmetic failings aside, you think 28.5oz is heavy for a double-stack, metal-framed carry gun?

This winter I often CCWed a Sig M17, which is a dream to conceal under a light jacket. Would you say the Sig M17 weighs five pounds, too? The advertised weight is greater than that of this CZ DWX Compact.

I was being sarcastic. And literary failings aside, yes, 28oz. is heavy. A Glock 19 holds the same amount of ammo and weighs almost 20% less.

BTW, the Sig P320/M17 is a full-size duty weapon. People who say it is easy to carry concealed are the same ones who will argue that a Govt.-sized 1911 is a good CCW gun...that is by far NOT the majority of people who CCW.

For and apples to apples comparison, the Wilson Combat EDC X9 weighs 29.09 oz. (I believe this is for the version w/o the rail. I can't find a weight for the gun with the rail on Wilson's site.)

It wouldn't matter if you lived in another state. Right now that gun is unobtanium.

                28oz is not heavy for a double-stack, metal-framed, hammer-fired carry gun. That's what I said and it's an absolute, non-negotiable fact.

A Glock 19 holds the same amount of ammo and weighs almost 20% less.
Oh? When did Glock start making the 19 as a hammer-fired, metal-framed carry gun?

Wait, you mean to tell me that you just made a completely irrelevant comparison in a panicked, last-ditch attempt to have something to say in defense of your "BUT MUH 28.5OZ IS FIVE POUNDS" flailing? Yeah.

BTW, the Sig P320/M17 is a full-size duty weapon.
                It sure is!

When did this discussion suddenly include "the majority of people who CCW"? The way I remember it, it was just you saying "LUL 28.5OZ = 5 LBS" and me saying "Actually, that's not very heavy and well within the realm of a reasonable carry gun."

Me sharing that I carried the heavier M17 without issue was just me sharing my two cents based on real-world experiences--do you have any of those? By the way, two cents isn't equal to five pounds either.

I've had one ordered from Dan Wesson for a couple months now, still waiting for them to ship it. I bought it for $1380 so I can't complain if it takes a little while.

Sweet pistol, too bad it’s an aluminum frame.. would probably be a great shooter if it has the weight of a steel frame as well!

The descriptions says it can take a cz 75 mag well? But uses compact grips? How does that work?
