1911 Slide Serration Preferences

I've noticed that I've become slightly obsessed with the details on my full custom 1911 build sheet. My latest detail that I've spent some time contemplating is the slide serrations. I like the looks of all three versions but my favorite has varied depending on when I look at them. If I choose the vertical serrations then I'll just leave the Colt slide that my pistol came with but if I decide a different option I'll buy a slide from Caspian. Not worrying about money, which slide serrations would you prefer?

The standard is nice but just doesn't do it for me personally (perhaps partly because I also dislike forward serrations, and most guns that have forward serrations are the "standard" type).

The Classic vertical is the only choice on a GI style/historical gun, and I love the way it looks there, but for a full custom I'd go with classic slanted. Erm, I did go with classic slanted I guess. Not full custom though, just my self-customized-in-progress-shooter.

I won't ask what you've chosen for the other options but we'll expect pics when you receive the gun.

Which one works best for you? The Standard is the "grippiest" out of all of them, especially on a hot sweaty day at the outdoor range...

Classic slanted, just like on the Baer TRS.

Anything but forward serrations, though slanted serrations do seem to follow the lines of the pistol more naturally.

I actually like the fish gills on the new Glock RTF2 model, it's very comfortable and effective.

I tend to agree -- my Springfields have forward serrations that I could grate carrots with. They chew up holsters, blue jeans, cleaning rags, etc.

I don't mind the forward S&W and Baer -style serrations that are not as deep and square.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did a little fondling today and it seems like the classic serrations have more bite than the standard serrations. (Colt vs Wilson) I couldn't get my fingers to slip on the Colt but I could get my fingers to slip on the Wilson. This may also have something to do with the armortuff on the Wilson. I think for this build I won't consider the classic vertical serrations as I don't think it flows as well as the angled varieties. I'm leaning towards the classic slanted serrations but who knows what I'll want tomorrow. Oh, and there will be absolutely no front cocking serrations. Those things are an abomination.

To the original OP, what profile frame are you getting? Railed, full dust cover, etc?
