Glock 23 Gen3-Optic mounting options?

Looking into options for mounting a red dot on a G23 Gen 3 version. I've searched aftermarket slides and options appear to be limited. The ones I've did find didn't have consistent positive reviews so it leaves to question build quality. I know sending it in for milling may be an option but my first choice would be to find a aftermarket slide that is cut. Any aftermarket recommendations or suggestions as to how one can get this done?

Don't waste your money by sending it in to have it milled. You can't revert it back once it's done.

Got one on my Canik TP9SFL and Glock 34 . Installation was about 10 minutes.

Look at a Burris Fast Fire III They have a neat mount that picks up the rear sight groove. No need to modify anything. Been running one on my G35 for several years now.

I’ll keep an eye on this thread. I’m considering finally having a slide milled for an RMR. I’m leaning towards the Suarez service, mostly because the cost is almost my price for just the RMR.

I just don't see a good enough reason to send the slide to be milled for a couple of hundred bucks. Two slides=one Glock . And for some reason that you're not happy with the milled job, it has already been done. With the rear sight mount plate, if you're not happy with it just knock it out and put the rear sight back.

Good luck trying to sell a non factory-MOS Glock for 600-800 bucks. I don't understand how one can turn a $500 gun into $800-$1,000 gun. Hence, all these "special, one of a kind, super duper alien lighting rod Glocks" for sale in the marketplace.

So special that they have to get rid of them. NEVER ever buy special guns in the marketplace. Factory stock , no mods is the way to go. No backyard botched up guns.
