    1911 receiver government or comander ?

    i have a 1911 receiver but i cant remember if i ordered a government or commander size.
    does anyone know if the receivers are the same or different.

      Commander is a tad shorter

          The VIS is .361" from the slide stop hole for a government frame. The VIS is the vertical impact surface. That is the surface that the guide rod rests against.
