glock slide not completely snapping on

Hey guys, I bought an aftermarket slide for my g19 gen 3 and it would not snap on completely unless I put the glock into an unfired forward position. Is this normal? I function test it and seems to be okay. Just wanted to double check as my other aftermarket slide and original slide snaps on without any problems.

That happened when I put a 3.5 connector in my glock 20. Idk why it happens. But didn't affect reliability at all

If you do some searching you will find this can happen. There are a few things that can cause this problem. Generally a close tolerance in fitting.

Umm, I never install a Glock slide onto a frame that has the trigger set forward. The slide comes off and goes back on with the trigger in a fired position. Could that be the problem for you?

That's weird. Slide can't be taken off the frame unless the trigger is in the rear (fired position).
