Help Me Choose Sights for Glock

Hoping some of you can steer me in the right direction.

After doing a few hours of research my head is spinning with all of the options there are.

Gun is glock 22 gen 2.

Wanting something for home defense but will also work at the range in the day. Would rather have sights that can get me on target quicker than precision. Just by what I've read using a black rear sight gets you on target faster?
Was looking at Dawson fixed charger sight set, Trijicon fiber sight set, truglo TFO yellow/green 6.5mm. Open to other suggestions, I'm sure there are more out there. Not too worried about cost but appreciate best bang for my buck.
Have read different opinions on what would work better at night/home defense situation. I feel the sights with tritium would be too busy and blurry for me.

    Advice and opinions?

Thanks for any and all constructive replies.

You list some good options. One more to consider is the Ameriglo Hackathorn. Plain black rear with a bright orange dot with tritium insert up front. Decent price too.

XS Big Dots if you want value speed over accuracy. Not that they can't be shot accurately, but it definitely requires some trigger time. A blacked out rear helps me focus more on the front sight as there's less noise as compared to traditional 3 dot sights. Heine 8's, iDots, etc are a fair compromise as you get the benefits of tritium tubes, but you line up more 2 dots vertically as opposed to 3 horizontally.

For me, if its a home defense option, I want night sights.
For that route I go with Trijicon HDs. I love them, but my next set will be the XR version with a narrower front blade.

If it were strictly a range gun, I'd go narrow fiber optic front with serrated black out rear. Lots of companies make them, I think im going with these for my next set:

Thats my take. Its worth what you paid for it.

I love these sites. Have had them on my G17 for over 7 years and they are still bright.

Everyone's vision is different I have the Trijicon HD XRs and the XS Big Dots, I perform the same with both. I went with Glocks because they are the most natural pointing handgun I tried, I just point and sights are lined up. Personally I think for a defensive handgun too much noise is made about night sights. I went through my house in various lighting conditions and a flashlight. The lighting conditions changed so much because of light spill and different levels of ambient light there would be little difference between night sights or black sights, 90% of the time all I could see was silouette. But that's my vision, not yours. Considering my Glocks are for defensive purposes my goal is to become very proficient at instinctive point shooting, that's the most likely circumstance they will be used. As far as which sights I enjoy at the range more it would be the HD XRs.

Bigger sights are usually easier to see or find in a hurry.

I’ve spent too much money and tried multiple brands of sights. For home defense I really like the Trijicon HD night sights. At the range, they are plenty great too, I prefer them over my fiber optic sights. The ”U”notched rear and large neon front sight work great. I prefer the neon green front sight over the orange. I’m running this set up on 7 guns.

in a gunfight I doubt anyone other than highly trained shooters will be looking for their front sight. That is why I went with the Glocks, they point well for me, I pick up the gun, threat (target) focus, point, then look at the sights, they are dead on every time. Probably contrary to all the expert trainers advice, works for me, so that is how I practice.

On my work guns we have Trijicon night sights. I don't like them. Too blocky and at night we use flashlights so they don't really need to be night sights.

At home I run Taran Tactical sights and a X300 light. Those sights work great for day use and are easy to see when I have the x300 turned on.

I'm not going to sit in the dark and shoot someone I can't identify. I've never been a fan of night sights. Spend the money and get a weapon light.
