    What's Wrong With This Picture?

    trigger bar.JPG

    Did you spot it?

It's an M&P 1.0 trigger bar in a 2.0 marked bag (notice the loop).

I did a 2.0 trigger upgrade on my FS 1.0 a while back. Decided to do it on my 1.0 9C. I have the sear housing ready to go but the trigger bars were OOS. When they finally came in I jumped quickly. Sadly, someone at S&W goofed.

So I thought I could just cut the loop off one of my old trigger bars. Nope, too short to release the sear.

I bought the parts from Midwest Gun Works. They have been great! (and I get 10% off as a vet). They confirmed that S&W shipped the wrong parts in the right bags. When will the right ones come in is anybody's guess.

    Not Surprised

A while back I needed a out of production early gen sear spring for a M&P9. Waited 2 months and received a recoil spring and guide rod from S&W CS (I was sure that I gave the right part number and description to the gal on the phone).

The right part came 2 months later..... a $5 dollar part that took a M&P out of service for 4 months. I really dread working on them now since some of the 1.0 small parts are getting hard to find.

You're buying PARTS for a crappy gun, instead of trading UP to a 3rd generation Smith?

No iteration of the S&W M&P is currently on roster in California safe for the Shield, so it is somewhat difficult to trade up. Depends on the whim of the secondhand roster-exempt market.
